My name is Jacky Wright, I’m a creative producer and entrepreneur. I’m a storyteller who loves the process of turning ideas into realities. My life goal is to become a master in the art of living. I grew up between south jersey and south philly. I was fortunate to get the best of both worlds, shout out to Thelma! I grew up playing sports (soccer & basketball), low key soccer was my first love but I transitioned into basketball and hooped in college. I didn’t know what I wanted to pursue upon graduating so I entered corporate America. It didn’t take long before I understood that path was not in alignment with my purpose. Although still unsure, my desires were difficult to articulate. I wanted to make an impact, I wanted to use my influence for good and I wanted to get paid to be my authentic self. I always think back to the summer of 2008, that’s my marker for when I took the leap of faith. At that time, I started managing a lounge in Philly called Strongbox. My homey and I had these crazy parties on Tuesday nights, there’s never been anything like what we had going on. One time, the Cleveland Cavaliers were in town and organized a private party for them; It was so dope that it made SportsCenter! From there, I transitioned into the world of music. I was in Atlanta working as an A&R for Tyrese Gibson, that move led me to become an artist manager. In the summer of 2015, I decided to move to LA cold turkey. I needed a fresh start. If I was going to pursue my entertainment aspirations I had to be where the action was. In hindsight, that was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Within the first year, I was managing R&B artist Kenyon Dixon while also becoming the day-to-day for Michael B Jordan. My work with MBJ allowed me an opportunity to work on Marvel’s Black Panther, that’s an experience I’ll remember forever. From there, I was freelancing for BET, I’ve worked on numerous award shows (BET Awards, Hip Hop Awards, Soul Train Awards), as well as Diddy’s REVOLT Summit. Recently, I’ve worked closely with comedian and actor Tone Bell. I was an executive producer on his comedy album One Night in Austin. Additionally, I’ve produced YouTube Original content with Issa Rae’s HOORAE, a pilot docu-series for MTV and just wrapped production on My True Crime Story for VH1. I've been featured in Rolling Stone and VoyageLA. Currently, you can catch me living in Los Angeles, CA where I’m developing tv and film projects, freelancing and continuing to grow my lifestyle brand wrighteous™ which launched in 2018. At wrighteous™, I combine my love of streetwear, luxury, sports, music and travel, with the hopes of showing that anything’s possible. I’m based in Los Angeles, CA.
